Meryl Streep Awarded the Honorary Golden Bear


meryl-streep-1Meryl Streep will get the reward of all time (The Honorary) for her achievements in the Berlin Film Festival in February and a retrospective of some of film’s most popular artists during the last 30 years. Festival organizers say, Streep (62), which is currently completing a new film about former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher called the Iron Lady will be awarded the Golden Bear award honored on February 14.

“We are delighted to bestow the Golden Bear award for world-class stars are very great. Meryl Streep is a brilliant performer, versatile, and easily adapt between roles in dramas and comedies,” said the Berlin Film Festival Director Dieter Kosslick in a statement on Monday (02/01/2012).

The organizer plans to publish six Streep films, including Oscar-winning film Kramer vs. Kramer and Sophie’s Choice during the film festival next month.

Artist born in New Jersey was rated as the largest wide-screen artist, and has recorded a record 16 times nominated for an Oscar.

She also considered the leader after gaining 17 positive responses in the action as Thatcher’s Academy Award nominations will be announced on January 26 in Beverly Hills.
