Super Junior Wins Daesang at Seoul Music Awards
Last thursday (19 / 1), many idol K-Pop and Korea’s top celebrities gathered at Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium to attend one of the biggest awards in Korea, 21st Seoul Music Awards (SMA).
The ceremony was first held in 1990 and is held every year by the Sports Seoul to pay their respects to the best achievements that appear in K-Pop industry. And high school became one of the four biggest music awards in Korea in addition to the Golden Disk Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards, and Melon Music Awards.
Reported from allkpop.com, the winners selected through voting Bonsang Award (20%), sales of digital albums / discs (50%), research (10%) and assessment of judges (20%). Only one artist with the best performance were selected achievement to reach Daesang of some Bonsang Award winners.
This year, boy band Super Junior won the highest award, the Daesang. This means SuJu managed to master the three top honors in the Korean music industry, having previously won in Mnet Daesang Asian Music Awards, the Golden Disk Awards, and the Seoul Music Awards.
